How to Set Up Digital Gift Cards

With talech you can sell digital gift cards online through your own digital storefront!  

In order to sell gift cards online there are a few requirements:

You must have online ordering turned on and online payments configured.
You must be using the Converge (Virtual Merchant), Stripe or Converge 2 EU gateways.

Enabling Digital Gift Cards

First, ensure that all the relevant business details are filled in for the digital storefront. To do this, go to Settings > Business Information.
Review the information for your business and update any information where needed.

Navigate to Website > Digital Gift Cards.  
From here you can turn on the toggle for Enable online gift card purchases to allow your customers to purchase gift cards from your online store/website.

Customizing your Digital Gift Cards

Now that you have enabled digital gift cards, you can make sure that your digital storefront sells gift cards exactly the way you want it to!

Set the preset gift card amounts

Set the amounts that a customer can select from when purchasing a gift card online. There are four different options available.

Verify the business information that will be included on all digital gift card emails.

Gift Card Promotions

Offer discounts on digital cards to incentivize the sales of gift cards! If we set this at 10% it means that the customer can buy a gift card worth 100$ but they only pay 90$. This section also allows you to set a minimum price for the gift card to receive the discount.

Custom card design

Under the Digital Gift Card Image section, you can upload a logo or brand image for your digital gift cards. Follow the specifications for the image sizes provided (max size 2MB). After uploading, you can crop or zoom in using the built-in tool.

This image will be used in the email that a customer receives with the gift card as well as for the digital wallet if the customer decides to add the gift card to their wallet app.
