If you need guidance on how to apply those permissions check here: Modifying Employee Permissions.
Clocking in to talech POS
If you wish to record the hours that your employees work, they will need to be set up as an employee on talech.com first. You can read about that here: Create and Edit Employee Roles.
During that process they will be assigned a pin number which they type in the number, then select the 'Clock in' button.
Your employee will be then brought to the register screen and there will be a sign at the top of the screen which confirms the clock in was successful.
Clocking out of talech POS
Clocking out is just as simple, from the dashboard screen your employee can select the red circular button at the bottom of the screen.
Selecting this button will bring them to the screen where they can type in their pin number and then select 'Clock Out'.
When your employee hits the 'Clock Out', they will see an option to 'Clock Out' and thereby end the shift or take a break if you have set them up. You can learn more about configuring employee breaks here; in the example below, it is a 30-minute Paid Break however the length and payment type is customizable: Labor Cost Setup.
If your employee decides to clock out, they will be asked if they want to print out their hours for their shift.
Clocking out for a break
If your employee selects the option to take their break, then they will be reminded of when they are due back to clock in according to the rules you set in talech.com.
This information is captured in the Labor Cost report and can be seen in full on talech.com. However, if a manager or supervisor wishes to check current labor costs, they can do so from the 'Reports' tab in the back office and select 'Labor Cost' from the drop down.
