The ELO touch PayPoint and ELO touch PayPoint Plus are an all-in-one register with a built-in receipt printer.
Before beginning, please make sure that you have the following:
- You have the required components for your ELO Touch Paypoint.

Elo Touch Paypoint Set Up
- Unpack the Elo Touch Paypoint.
- The Elo Touch Paypoint comes with two interchangeable Docks. Identify the dock you will use based on the size and connector type.
- If the correct dock is attached, proceed with the set up.
- If the wrong dock is attached, unscrew the attached dock, and screw in the correct dock. Once completed, proceed with the set up.
- Connect the power cable to the port on the bottom base of the station. Once the power cord is plugged into the base, plug the other end of the cord into a power outlet.
- Insert the iPad into the dock.
- Locate the small latch on the right-hand side. Push the latch in to connect to the iPad’s Power Port.
- Screw the latch in to lock it in place.
- Confirm if the iPad is fully detected. When connected to power, the feed light on the printer should turn from Red to White.
- If it does not change colors, unscrew the latch (from step 6), try taking the power latch out and then in again.
- Once the color changes, screw the latch back in to secure the iPad.
- Now that the iPad is fully detected, tilt back the dock on the station and insert the paper roll into the printer.
- To add paper, press the button to the right of the paper feed, the paper tray will pop open. Then place the paper in and close the lid firmly.
Elo Touch Paypoint Printer Configuration
- Launch the talech Register app.
- Login as an admin, then navigate to Back Office > Settings.
- Under the Printer section on the left, select Auto Detect to add the printer.
- Select Test Print to confirm that the printer is connected.
- Additionally, in the Printer section, select Customer Receipt Printer and select the printer you just added.
Elo Touch Paypoint Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting Guide will cover general troubleshooting If you are having issues with Receipt Printing or the Cash Drawer not opening.
- Confirm you’re on the most recent version of the talech Register. Reference Elo Touch Firmware Update Via talech Register Application and proceed with updating to the most recent version if needed.
| Note: It is recommended to apply any updates outside of business hours to avoid any disruption to your business. |
- Navigate back to the Back Office > Settings > Printer. Select the printer and delete it.
- To add the printer again, select Auto Detect.
- Select Test Print to confirm that the printer is connected.
- Select Customer Receipt Printer and select the printer you just added.
- Test the cash drawer by navigating to the Register and select No sale to pop open the cash drawer.
