When should I use mobile POS vs a wireless terminal?

Choose the right card-present setup for your environment.

Products FAQ

Mobile POS (see Mobile POS) pairs a smartphone or tablet with a compact reader such as the Ingenico Link 2500. Best for farmers markets, pop-ups, delivery drivers, and teams that already carry a phone or tablet.

Wireless terminals such as the Ingenico Move 5000 are standalone devices with their own display, battery, and connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optional cellular). Best for line-busting, tableside, curbside, and routes where staff need a dedicated payment device without tying up a tablet.

Countertop terminals fit fixed checkout lanes with the highest throughput. Your Paytura representative can help match hardware to your volume and environment.
