This article will show you how to create or edit taxes for your products/services from talech.com. Tax rates can be set up by category or by individual products/services.
Create a tax
- Log in to talech.com.
- Select Settings > Taxes from the left navigation.
- Select the New Tax button.

- Name the tax.
- Select the type of tax in the Tax Type dropdown field.
- Tax Applied to Subtotal: Percentage-based tax added to an item’s price.
- Tax Included in Price: Percentage-based tax included in an item's price.
- Flat Rate Tax: Fixed dollar amount tax added to an item's price.
- Add a number to the Tax Rate field for the percentage amount of the tax.

- In the Apply tax to categories section, select which order types to apply this tax by default from the Order Type dropdown.
- To apply this tax to all the categories with the order type you selected, select Apply to all categories.

- You can also individually select which order types for each category to apply this tax to.

- Select Create Tax when finished.

Edit a tax
- Log in to talech.com.
- Select Settings > Taxes from the left navigation.
- Select the tax you want to edit.
- Make any necessary changes and select Save Changes when finished.
