Create or edit a tax rate on talech.com

This article will show you how to create or edit taxes for your products/services from talech.com. Tax rates can be set up by category or by individual products/services. 

Create a tax

1. Log in to talech.com.
2. Select Settings > Taxes from the left navigation.
3. Select the New Tax button.

4. Name the tax.
5. Select the type of tax in the Tax Type dropdown field.

• Tax Applied to Subtotal: Percentage-based tax added to an item’s price.
• Tax Included in Price: Percentage-based tax included in an item's price.
• Flat Rate Tax: Fixed dollar amount tax added to an item's price.

6. Add a number to the Tax Rate field for the percentage amount of the tax.

7. In the Apply tax to categories section, select which order types to apply this tax by default from the Order Type dropdown.
8. To apply this tax to all the categories with the order type you selected, select Apply to all categories.

9. You can also individually select which order types for each category to apply this tax to.

10. Select Create Tax when finished.

Edit a tax

1. Log in to talech.com.
2. Select Settings > Taxes from the left navigation.
3. Select the tax you want to edit.
4. Make any necessary changes and select Save Changes when finished.
